Frequently Asked Questions
The 12V 200Ah LiFePO4 battery has the following exact specifications:
- Dimensions: 20.53 × 9.37 × 8.69 inches (521 × 238 × 221 mm)
- Weight: 58.2 lbs (26.4 kg)
This is significantly lighter than a lead-acid battery of similar capacity (typically 100–120 lbs). Please measure your battery tray or compartment against these dimensions before ordering, as the casing may differ from standard group sizes like GC2, 8D, or Group 31. If your tray has extra space, you can use foam padding or brackets to secure the battery.
Yes, this battery includes a 250A BMS (Battery Management System) that provides full protection against overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent, short circuit, and temperature extremes. However, this model doesnothave Bluetooth monitoring. To check battery status (voltage, current, state of charge, etc.), you will need to use a compatible external monitor.
The 12V 200Ah LiFePO4 battery provides 2.56kWh of usable energy (12V × 200Ah = 2,560Wh, typically rounded to 2.56kWh). Unlike lead-acid batteries, you can safely use over 100% of this capacity without damaging the battery, giving you more usable power than a comparable lead-acid bank.
Yes. You can connect up to 4 batteries in parallel (12V, capacity increases to 400Ah / 600Ah / 800Ah) for longer runtime. You can also connect them in series to reach 48V (four batteries in series) — but do not exceed 48V. All batteries should be identical, fully charged, and from thea same batch for optimal performance. No parallel communication cables are needed; simply connect positive to positive, negative to negative.
You need a charger with a LiFePO4 profile set to 14.2V–14.6V for bulk/absorption charging, with a float voltage around 13.6V–13.8V. The recommended charge current is 40A–100A (0.2C to 0.5C), with a maximum of 100A.
Most modern MPPT solar charge controllers (Victron, Epever, Renogy, etc.) and inverter/chargers work perfectly as long as you select the LiFePO4 or "Lithium" battery type. If your solar charge controller does not have a LiFePO4 preset, you can manually set the absorption voltage to 14.4V and float to 13.6V.
Important: Do not use a standard lead-acid charger with a desulfation or equalization mode, as the high voltage (15V+) can permanently damage the LiFePO4 battery.
